Testosterone replacement therapy
For low testosterone and hormone balance
Most of the experts we follow recommend it.

Testosterone replacement can help when monitored and kept within normal ranges.
Who is behind it
Voices including a former research biochemist, a board-certified cardiologist and a licensed naturopathic doctor.
How strong the research is
Backed by some published research, and by what the experts see in practice.
In their words
“there at least nine different uh trials that show that there's no increase cardiovascular risk with testosterone replacement therapy when levels were kept in appropriate ranges”
a board-certified cardiologist
Staying within normal physiological levels of testosterone replacement is mainly all upside with not much downside.
Prolonged testosterone use can lead to infertility due to inhibition of the HPG axis and testicular atrophy.
Most men find benefit from testosterone injections which keep sustained levels of testosterone, especially when topical forms are less effective due to metabolism and conversion to estrogens.
Taking exogenous testosterone can cause dependence, withdrawal, and infertility, so it is advised against.
With care
Some of the minds attach conditions. These are worth reading before you begin.
Safe if levels are kept in physiologic ranges and blood pressure is monitored to avoid risks related to water retention and hypertension.
Testosterone does not cause heart disease and can be protective due to increased nitric oxide, improved endothelial function, improved insulin sensitivity, and increased muscle mass.
Not all men need testosterone replacement, but monitoring and optimizing levels is important.
Many men with sexual dysfunction and low libido respond favorably to testosterone replacement therapy due to its ability to improve nitric oxide synthesis and activate penile tissue.
Talk it through
Entrain shows what the experts teach, so you can make better decisions with your own clinician. It does not diagnose or prescribe. If something is worrying you, start there.
How this reading was made
Every line here comes from a doctor, scientist or coach speaking publicly, and links to the moment they said it. Entrain listens for where independent experts arrive at the same place on their own, and shows where they part ways. Backed by some published research, and by what the experts see in practice.
None of the statements here come with a declared commercial interest. Last refreshed 23 September 2026.
